Liz Golden, Another Talented Member of the Golden Family

photo courtesy of The Golden family must be doing something right. Not only is Josh Golden a talented musician at age 14, but his sister, Liz Golden, age 17 is working on an her own EP as well. We’ll focus on Liz for now. She offers acoustically styled music with folk and country influences, both prevalent in the vocal style and harmonization choices. I’m blown away by her talent. Born in 1991, she sounds like a twenty-something year old artist. And of course my favorite part about her: she writes her own music.

Though simplistic, her music is not boring. Though be warned, she is rather low-key. Don’t expect to crank up Liz Golden and feel like you could stop a steaming locomotive with your bare hands. No, this is more like something you listen to when you can’t sleep at night. Those times when you get out of bed and turn on your computer to do a bit of work before the urge of sleep overtakes you again.

If you’re the sweet and sensitive type, then maybe she’ll offer you some comfort through a break-up. Listen to Do You Remember Me? if you’re in the chill out mood right now. Overall, she’s nice to have on in the background, as she’s found a nice balance between a soft and hopeful style. Check out her MySpace Page and let me know what you think.
